Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority ia an autonomous body under Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Balochistan. Its Managing Director is the full time Principal Executive appointed by the Government of Balochistan.
To supervise and assist the Managing Director, it has a Board of Directors. Constituted under Section-5 of LIEDA Ordinance, 1984 comprising of the Province Government Secretaries of Industries & Commerce, the Planning & Development, Finance and Law Departments, the Director Industries Balochistan, sitting Presented of Lasbela Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chamber of Commerce & Industry Balochistan, Quetta and one nominee from both Chambers. The Board of Directors, Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority is headed by the Secretary Industries & Commerce Balochistan as its ex-officio Chairman. The Board is fully competent to approve development schemes. Budget, recruitment and engagement of officers, experts, consultants and servants for the Authority. The Managing Director implements the schemes approved by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with its instructions.
Headquarter of the Authority is situated in a beautiful double storey building built at the entrance of Hub Industrial Trading Estate. The total number of permanent staff including officers working in the Authority, at present is 261.
